15.11.2017at the general seminar of the Institute with a report on the theme “Damping, dispersionof sound waves and abnormal strengthening of shock waves in a gas-liquid medium” will make the chief research officer of the “Applied Mathematics” department, Doctor of Sc., professor F.B. Naghiyev.
In the report the results of theoretical studies, describing damping and dispersion of sound waves due to the presence of gas bubbles in the liquidwill be present.
The results of calculations, obtained by the methods of mechanics of multiphase media, confirming the experimentally observed effect of strengthening of a shock wave in a liquid with soluble gas bubbles will be presented.
