Announcement

The International scientific conference "XI Modern Problems of Mathematics and Mechanics" will be held under the organization of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, dedicated to the memory of Nasireddin Tusi, a brilliant Azerbaijani scientist and thinker who lived in the 13th century.
The conference is planned to be held on July 03-06, 2024 in Baku.

Today, the regular seminar of IMM was held. At the seminar of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, Professor of Baku State University, PhD, Sadi Endam oglu Bayramov gave a talk on “Generalization of Metric spaces and fixed point theorems on these spaces”.

He gave general information about b-metric, G-metric, D-metric, D * -metric, S-metric, soft metric spaces, which are generalizations of metric spaces. Then, the proof of the various variations of the fixed point theorem was discussed. Finally, the results about soft metric, soft S-metric and soft D-metric spaces was presented.
