In the next seminar of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS (on September at 11:00) corresponding member of ANAS, prof. Misir Mardanov will make a report on “Necessary conditions for a minimum in variational problems with degeneration”.

In the report simple variational problems are considered. New information on necessary conditions for solving the considered problem in the case when the known Weierstrass and Lagrange conditions degenerate, is given. It is noted that numerical parameter-dependent Weierstrass type variation offered by the authors plays a special role in obtaining these conditions.
