Special scholarships will be awarded to students who differ in science and education

This statement was made by the president of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh at the event devoted to Knowledge Day.

In his speech, the scientist spoke about the annual “Master’s” competition to stimulate students’ achievements in education and science. He said that starting from this year, students who receive high marks in the magistracy and who are distinguished for their effective activities will be awarded special scholarships of the President of ANAS.

According to the academician, this step aims not only to increase students’ interest in science and education, but also to improve their social status.

A. Alizadeh also noted that the dormitory of ANAS mobilizes its capabilities to improve the social conditions of undergraduates. The scientist said that this trend will continue in the future, and the next step is to announce a “student grant” to support innovative dissertation topics.

Postgraduate Knowledge Day was celebrated in ANAS

On September 16, the Presidium of ANAS held an event dedicated to Knowledge Day.

Opening the event, the president of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh spoke about the importance of graduate education in this institution. He said that one of the most important areas of the Academy’s reforms is the integration of science and education. With the support of the country’s leadership to achieve effective integration of science and education in the field of highly-qualified personnel training and to meet the growing demand of qualified specialists and scientific personnel in the history of ANAS, master’s degree in higher education was established in 2015. A. Alizadeh said that admission to the magistracy of ANAS was carried out in a number of priority specialties.

The head of ANAS said that the establishment of a magistracy at the academy is aimed at solving problems in several directions. The most important of them is the issue of personnel training. Of the 134 people who have graduated from ANAS, 82 are our employees. In general, 166 of the 204 people who have been admitted to the magistrate of ANAS, not only get their higher education, but also enrich their skills in our laboratories. ”

Akif Alizadeh said that undergraduates studying at the academy will be trained in scientific laboratories, get acquainted with the latest achievements of science, defend their thesis on contemporary and promising topics and communicate with prominent scientists. The scientist also said that all conditions for undergraduates to study at the ANAS are created.

According to the head of ANAS, most of the graduate students who have completed their Master’s degree in ANAS continue their education in doctorate and dissertation, 48 of the 74 graduates continue their education in Ph.D. Five of them have been accepted into the world’s leading universities, such as Oxford, France, Monpelye, China’s Jilin Agriculture, Russia’s Moscow Physical Studies and Turkey’s Istanbul Universities, and 1 of this year’s graduates has received full scholarships to Kocaeli University of Turkey.

Academician A. Alizadeh also spoke about the annual “Master’s” competition, which aims to support the growth of scientific achievements of undergraduates, and to stimulate students’ achievements in education and science. He said that this year the students of the master’s degree, as well as those in science and education, will be awarded special scholarships of the President of ANAS.

Alizadeh, who gave information about the results of this year’s admission, said that this year, the number of students enrolled at the National Academy of Sciences was twice higher than in previous years. He said that this is a vivid example of the growing interest of young people to study at the Masters of ANAS.

“For the first time, ANAS has started its paid master’s training this year,” said A. Alizadeh, adding that 120 students from 22 specialties and 75 specialties have been admitted to the magistracy of ANAS this year.

At the end of his speech, the head of ANAS appealed to the scientific leaders and teachers involved in the training and recommended that they do their best to train the Academy’s worthy staff.

Then, academician-secretary of ANAS, correspondent member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov presented statistics on the results of admission to the magistracy. He spoke about the achievements of the magistracy in the academy, innovations and achievements in the educational policy of postgraduate studies of ANAS.

In 2019, 8 masters were admitted to the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS. The first-year undergraduate student of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS Khalida Aliyeva with that made the highest score made a speech.

At the event, undergraduates of ANAS received student tickets.

In addition, the head of the doctoral department of the Main Department of Science and Education of the Presidium of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry Omar Gulalov, heads of the Laboratory of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes, Almaz Tagiyeva and Nizami Mursalov, senior researcher Mahyaddin Iskandarov, head of the Education Department of the Institute of Control Systems, Doctor of Philosophy Sevinj Guliyeva, Head of the Training and Innovation Center of the Institute of Information Technology Rasmiyya Mahmudova, Head of the Education Dapertment of the Institute of Linguistics, Doctor of Philosophy Gatiba Kuliyeva and head of the Education Department of the Institute of Biology and Biotechnologies Doctor of Philosophy in Biology, Ass. Professor Samira Rustamova were presented with badges “Advanced Education Worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.

The paper of Azerbaijan scientists was published in higher impact factor international journal

The paper coauthored by deputy director of IMM in scientific affairs corr. member of ANAS, prof. Vagif Guliyev and sen.res.ass. of the institute, doctor of math. sci. Tahir Gadjiev and candidate for a degree Sh. Galandarova within the I Azerbaijan-Russia joint international grant competition was published. The paper was published in 1.065 higher impact factor Q1 category journal “Electronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations” (https://www.math.u-szeged.hu/ejqtde/) reviewed in “Clarivate Analytics” international base.

In the paper “Regularity in generalized Morrey spaces of solutions to higher order nondivergence elliptic equations with VMO coefficients”

the boundedness of sublinear integral operators generated by Calderon-Zigmund operator and their commutators when they are from BMO functions, was studied in the generalized Morrey space. According to the obtained estimations, the regularity of the solution of the Dirichlet problem stated for higher order linear elliptic operators was obtained.

Azerbaijani academician and young scientist participated in the 3rd international conference of the Caucasus Mathematical Society as a plenary speaker

Head of the department of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, academician Asaf Hajiyev and junior researcher of the “Optimal Control” department of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics Melik Samin Telman oglu participated as a Plenary Speaker at “The III International Conference of Caucasus Mathematical Society” held on August 26-29, 2019 in South Federal University in Rostov.

About 70 mathematicians from 10 countries (Germany, Italy, Norway, Czech Republic, Russia, Turkey, Georgia, etc.) participated in the conference organized with the support of the European Mathematical Society.

Academician Asaf Hajiyev made a report on “Paradoxical consequences of probability theory”. The reporter referred to unforeseen (paradoxical) events in probability theory. It was noted that the results presented in this field are part of the theory of control for complex technical systems created by the author. The second paradox is that the scientist has presented the results, which are related to the mathematical models of moving particles.

Representing our country as a young scientist at the international event, Melik Samin made a presentation on “Necessary conditions for Extremes in nonuniform Variation problems”. The reporter spoke about the practical importance and research of the problems of unstable first and high order variations. Samin Melik showed how different types of conditions are needed for the weak and strong extremities in the uneven issues considered, including new insights into the trajectory. It is also said that these conditions resulted in the acquisition of the Weierstrass and Legendre terms and the broader scope of the results obtained.

The reports of Azerbaijani scientists were met with great interest by the participants.
