March 3, 2017 at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics held a meeting of the Editorial Board of the Transactions of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (issue Mechanics).
\nThe meeting was attended by leading scientists in solid mechanics and fluid mechanics. The meeting was opened by the chief editor, corresponding member of ANAS, Dr. Geylani Panahov, presenting the agenda of the meeting. Director of the Institute, Professor Misir Mardanov in his opening remarks welcomed the members of the Editorial Board, wishing them successful work in the field of mathematics and mechanics and all endeavours.
\nDuring the meeting, chief editor, corresponding member of ANAS, Dr. Geylani Panahov, full member of Azerbaijan NAS, Prof. Hatam Guliyev, Prof. Gabil Aliev and Prof. Sabir Guliyev paid special attention to finding ways of increasing the number of editions, to improve the level of English translation of published articles, to consider the possibility of changing the design of the Journal and format of numbering releases, placement of paper\u2019s summary on Azerbaijani language.
\nThe meeting participants came to a common opinion about the creating an enabling environment for attraction researchers from the Azerbaijan and foreign countries, organization of the visit of foreign scientists in the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, ensuring the quality of publications, focusing on contemporary issues, links to overseas advanced studies and materials.<\/p>\n
