\"\"<\/a>On 23 October 2019, the International Conference \u201cModern Problems of Mathematics and Mechanics\u201d devoted to the 60 th anniversary of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences get started. The Conference was opened with opening spech of vice-president of ANAS, academician Dilgam Taghiyev. He look at the history of the formation of the institute, noted its successes and congratulated the institute body on the occasion of its yubilee. In his speech Dilgam Taghiyev especially noted that two of the journals among the ANAS Institutes implicated in Web of Scinece databuse are published in IMM and that is a great success.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Director of IMM, corr. member of ANAS, prof. M.Mardanov listed the names of participants: Boris Mordukhovich (USA), Andrey Fursikov, Viktor Burenkov, Karakhan Mirzoyev, \u0130.Kandaurova and Natalya Lobanova\u00a0 (Russia), Yalch\u0131n Efendiyev (USA), Lyoubomira Softova (Italy), Mubariz Zafar o\u011flu Qarayev (Mexico), Varga Kalantarov, Heybetgulu Mustafayev, Rauf Amirov, Elmkhan Mahmudov, Rza Mustafayev, Surkhay Akberov, Aleddin Shamilov and \u0130lhan Usta (Turkey), M.Filipkovska (Ukraine), Yakov Yakubov (Israel) and others.<\/p>\n

Misir Mardanov talk about 60 years history of IMM. He especially underlined that in 2013-2019 years 440 papers of the institute scientists were published in Web of Science database joirnals. Furthermore, in 1968-2018 years, at the Dissertation Council of IMM 649 dissertations, including 556 Phd and 93 doctor of sciences dissertations were defended. At present 50 percent of 213 employees of the IMM are scientists (with academic degree).<\/p>\n

In the opening ceremony, acad.-secretary of the department of Physical-Mathematical and Technical Sciences of ANAS, acad. Nazim Mammadov, director of the Institute of Control Systems acad. Telman Aliyev, the guests, prof. Yuri Ershov, director of Yusif Mammadaliyev Oil recovery Processes Institute acad. Vagif Abbasov, director of Scientific-research institute of Applied Mechanics of BSU, acad. Fikret Aliyev, rector of Khazar University prof. Hamlet Isakhanly, prorector of Azerbaijan Pedagogical University prof. Asaf Zamanov and prof. of Koc University of Turkey Varga Kalantarov that was deputy-director of IMM, made speechs.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Then ass. prof. Eldar Abbasov was given a floor to read the greeting letters. He brought greeting letters from president of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences Oleg Kuznetsov and vice-President of the Academy Azizaga Shahverdiyev, rector of Ufa State Oil Technical University prof. Ramil Bakhtizin, president of the scientific center of China People\u2019s Republic \u201cGRR Group Corporation\u201d Renci Tzyan into the attention of Conference participants.<\/p>\n

At the end, the book \u201cInstitute of Mathematics and Mechnaics, ANAS-60\u201d editored by Misir Mardanov was represented to the conference participants.<\/p>\n
