In the seminar of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS chief researcher of \u201cFunctional Analysis\u201d department, doct.math.sci. Elshad Hatam oglu Eyvazov gave a talk &#8220;The role of mathematics in solving some problems of quantum mechanics.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The report consists of four parts. The first part discusses the Schr\u00f6dinger operator with zero-range potential, the essence of the Berezin-Minlos-Faddeev method is revealed. The second part covers the spectral properties of the magnetic Schr\u00f6dinger operator. The third part deals with the Aharonov-Bohm effect, and the fourth part of the problem of surface superconductivity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the end, the victims of the Kholajy
