09.06.2021 at the wide-seminar of Institute of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS\u00a0 chief scientific employee of the department of the “Differential Equations”, d.m.s., prof. Ziyatkhan Seyfaddin oglu Aliyev was spoken on the theme “On the convergence of eigenfunction\u00a0 expansions for a fourth-order differential operator with a spectral parameter in the boundary conditions”.<\/p>\n

In the report of prof. Z. Aliyev presented a spectral problem for ordinary differential equations of the fourth order with spectral parameters in the boundary conditions, which arises when describing bending vibrations of a homogeneous rod, in the cross sections of which a longitudinal force acts, the left end of which is fixed, and the inertial load is concentrated at the right end. Then he gave detailed information about the history of problems with a spectral parameter in the boundary conditions and about the results obtained and the difficulties encountered in this area, commented on the main results obtained on the topic. He answered in detail the questions of corresponding member of ANAS, prof. M. Mardanov, corresponding member of ANAS, prof. Q. Panakhov, Ph.D. Sh. Bagirov, d.m.s. I. Gurbatov d.m.s. Y. Mehraliyev. \u00a0Professors N. Karimov and A. Aliyev took part in the seminar with interesting ideas and suggestions on the topic under discussion.<\/p>\n
