The represented book is translation of one of philosophical treatises on logic of the famous Azerbaijanian thinker, encyclopaedist Nasireddin Tousi that has lived in the XIII century. The book was published by the decision of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS. This book covers all the sections of classical works on logic and may represent interest for specialists in history of science and logic, for students of the faculties of philosophy and for all other Russian speaking readers that are interested in Naisreddin Tousi\u2019s creative activity.
\nThe book was translated into Russian from Beyrut edition of 1988 and from the copy of the manuscript in \u201cFatih\u201d library, Istanbul. As seen from the title of the book, it was devoted to fundamentals of logic. This work is the shortest variant of his more volumetric treatise \u201cFundamentals of acquisition of knowledge\u201d \u201c(Asasul igtibas)\u201d and is addressed to readers with sufficient comprehension of logical science.
\nIt should be noted that N. Tousi\u2019s theory of logic consists of generalized research of positive and rational results of investigations carried by his predecessors beginning with Aristothel.
\nThe represented book \u201cExtracts from logic\u201d includes the origin of the text in Arabic, general and short information on the arabic language, terminological vocabulary on logic consisting of 200 words, and also a section for scientific remarks. We hope this book will play a certain role in propagation of Tousi\u2019s creative activity among the peoples of the world and Azerbaijan can make contribution to the history of science.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
