The Azerbaijanian mathematician scientist, doctor of physical-mathematical sciences, professor Arif Salimov\u2019s 1001 research project in 2016 (MFAG 116F220 \u201cLift problems of Differential geometric structures) was one of two winner projects of TUBITAK in mathematics.
\nThe project is considered to be completed during 3 years. Then the results of the project will be published in Springer publishers in the form of a book. Note that in 2015 Arif Salimov was awarded to one of prestigious prizes of TUBITAK \u201cPRO-Proje Performans\u201d. He is the first Azerbaijanian scientist awarded to this prize. Arif Salimov was born in 1956 in Agsu city of Azerbaijan. In 1973-1978 he was a student of mechanics-mathematics faculty of Baku State University. In 1978-1980 he worked at the Institute of Cybernetics as an engineer-mathematician, in 1980-1983 studied at Kazan State University of Russian Federation in speciality \u201cgeometry and topology\u201d. In 1984, supervised by famous soviet scientist in geometry V.V. Vishnevskii he has defended his PhD dissertation in Kazan city. In 1984-1995 worked in different positions in geometry chair of Baku State University. In 1988, in Kazan city he defended doctor dissertation in speciality \u201cgeometry and topology\u201d. Arif Salimov is the sole scientist in Azerbaijan in speciality \u201cgeometry and topology\u201d earning doctor\u2019s degree. Since 1995 he works at Ankara Ataturk University and now he is a professor of mathematics department of this University. He is a recognized specialists in the world in the field of differential geometry with fundamental results obtained in theory of tensor operators and with a new method that he created in lift theory. His 13 students have earned philosophy doctor degree in mathematics (geometry). He has given scientific talks in over 50 International Conferences, has authored over 100 scientific works. A lot of them were published in SCIE category authorative scientific journals of the USA, Japan, South Korea, China, India, Singapore, Mexico, Russia, England, France, Italy, Holland, Poland, Turkey and other countries. Arif Salimov\u2019s book \u201cTensor operators and their applications\u201d was published in the authorative scientific publishing house \u201cNova Science Publishers, Inc. New York\u201d in \u201cMathematics Research Developments\u201dseries. Body of IMM, ANAS congratulates our countryman, scientist-mathematician, doctor of physical-mathematical sciences, prof.
