Corr. member of ANAS, prof. Misir Mardanov gave an interview on scientific and scientific-organizational activity of IMM to “525-ci qəzet”.
Misir Mardanov: “The recent years the research associates of the departments of IMM have very great successes as a result of tense work”.
IMM is one old scientific-research institutes. Now 222 employees work at the Institute, 39 of them doctor of sciences at mathematics, 68 philosophy doctors at mathematics.
The institute consists of 22 departments 14 of them are engaged in scientific activity. They are: Functional Analysis, Function Theory, Different Equations, Mathematical Analysis: Mathematical Physics equations, Algebra and Mathematical logic, Optimal control, Non-harmonic analysis, Computing Mathematics and Informatics, Applied Mathematics, Elasticity and Plasticity Theory, Wave Dynamics, Creeping Theory, Liquid and Gas mechanics departments.
The last years three additional departments were set up. They are: International relations, Education, Public relations departments. The institute has got essential successes as a result of conducted reforms and important measures. These works in this direction continue.
