Announcement

The International scientific conference "XI Modern Problems of Mathematics and Mechanics" will be held under the organization of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, dedicated to the memory of Nasireddin Tusi, a brilliant Azerbaijani scientist and thinker who lived in the 13th century.
The conference is planned to be held on July 03-06, 2024 in Baku.

The head of the department of “Algebra and mathematical logic”, candidate of physics and mathematics, associate professor Ali Avaz oglu Babayev gave a talk “New results in the study of Nasreddin Tusi’s mathematical works”

Today the regular Institute seminar was held. In the seminar of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS the report of head of the department of “Algebra and mathematical logic”, candidate of physics and mathematics, associate professor Ali Avaz oglu Babayev gave a talk “New results in the study of Nasreddin Tusi’s mathematical works”.

The report deals with the innovations brought to mathematics by Nasreddin Tusi in his “Euclid’s Commentary”, “Calculus with the help of a dusty board” and other mathematical works.
