Doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor Latif Khalil oglu Talybly gave a talk “One effective method for solving quasi-static boundary value problems in the theory of viscoelasticity”


Today the regular Institute seminar was held. In the seminar of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS the head of “Mechanics of Deformable Solids” department, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor Latif Khalil oglu Talybly gave a talk “One effective method for solving quasi-static boundary value problems in the theory of viscoelasticity”.

An effective method for solving quasi-static boundary value problems in the theory of viscoelasticity was presented. The method was illustrated by the example of the problem “Stress Distributions Due to Concentrated Force on Viscoelastic Half–Space”, the solution which was obtained by USA scientists Y.Peng and D.Zhou using the presented method and published with the corresponding link in the journal “Journal of Computations and Modeling, 2012, vol. 12, no. 4. P.51-74”. At the same time, the exact solution of the new boundary value problem of viscoelasticity on the deformation of a rotating disk, obtained by the author using the presented method, was given.
