Head of the Department of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS, professor Latif Talybly made a plenary report “Method for solving the general quasi-static problem of the theory of linear viscoelasticity and its application”


Head of the Department of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS, professor Latif Talybly made a plenary report “Method for solving the general quasi-static problem of the theory of linear viscoelasticity and its application” at the opening of the Republican Scientific Conference “Actual  Problems of Mathematics and Mechanics” dedicated to the 99th anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, at BSU (Baku, 11- May 13, 2022). The paper proposes one effective method that allows one to reduce the general quasi-static problems of the theory of linear isotropic viscoelasticity to the Voltaire integral equation of the second kind. The two creep (relaxation) functions included in the constitutive relations, corresponding to the states of shear and volumetric expansion, are assumed to be independent, that is, the viscoelastic Poisson’s ratio is considered to be variable in time. Unlike many existing methods, the traditional application of integral transformations, is excluded here. Approbation of the method, was carried out on the example of an applied problem of a rotating circular thick disk.
