Announcement

The International scientific conference "XI Modern Problems of Mathematics and Mechanics" will be held under the organization of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, dedicated to the memory of Nasireddin Tusi, a brilliant Azerbaijani scientist and thinker who lived in the 13th century.
The conference is planned to be held on July 03-06, 2024 in Baku.

Associate Professor of the Department of Wave Dynamics, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Nazila Rasulova gave a report on the topic “Representation of solutions to plane problems of elastodynamics through analytical functions of a complex variable”

Today, the next General Institute seminar was held at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.  Nazila Rasulova, Associate Professor of the Department of Wave Dynamics, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, gave a report on the topic “Representation of solutions to plane problems of elastodynamics through analytical functions of a complex variable”.

The paper shows the process of presenting a solutions of the hyperbolic system of differential equations,  through the analytic functions of a complex variable. In a particular case, the self-similar problem of impact by a noncircular cone on an elastic membrane is solved.
