Announcement

The International scientific conference "XI Modern Problems of Mathematics and Mechanics" will be held under the organization of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, dedicated to the memory of Nasireddin Tusi, a brilliant Azerbaijani scientist and thinker who lived in the 13th century.
The conference is planned to be held on July 03-06, 2024 in Baku.

Senior Researcher of the Department of «Non-Harmonic Analysis», сandidate of mathematical sciences, Huseinli Ali Abbas oglu, gave a report on the topic “Chebyshev-type alternation theorem for the best approximation by a sum of two algebras”

Today, the next General Institute seminar was held at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.  Huseinli Ali Senior Researcher of the Department of «Non-Harmonic Analysis», сandidate of mathematical sciences, gave a report on the topic “Chebyshev-type alternation theorem for the best approximation by a sum of two algebras”.  

The paper investigates the result of alternating the Chebyshev type for the best approximation with the help of two closed subalgebras of the space of real-valued continuous functions defined in a compact metric space.
