Announcement

The International scientific conference "XI Modern Problems of Mathematics and Mechanics" will be held under the organization of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, dedicated to the memory of Nasireddin Tusi, a brilliant Azerbaijani scientist and thinker who lived in the 13th century.
The conference is planned to be held on July 03-06, 2024 in Baku.

The next General Institute seminar was held at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics

On June 14, 2023, the next All-Institute seminar was held at the AR ETN Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics. In the all-institute seminar of IMM, senior researcher of the “Theory of Functions” department of the Institute, doctor of mathematical sciences, prof. Rashid Avazaga oglu Aliyev gave a report on “Some problems of description with the sum of ridge functions”.

In the lecture, detailed information about ridge functions was given, application areas were indicated, and some problems of imaging with the sum of ridge functions: solution of the problem posed by A. Pinkus on image smoothness and imaging criteria through increments were mentioned.
