The International scientific conference "XI Modern Problems of Mathematics and Mechanics" will be held under the organization of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, dedicated to the memory of Nasireddin Tusi, a brilliant Azerbaijani scientist and thinker who lived in the 13th century.
The conference is planned to be held on July 03-06, 2024 in Baku.

19.01.2022 at 11.00  a seminar of the Departments “Applied Mathematics” and “Wave Dynamics”   will take place. At the seminar, Doctor of  Mechanics Elxan Abbasov will make a report ” Modeling the heat exchange process of oil displacement by hot water in the conjugated reservoir-well system”.

A model of a non-stationary heat exchange process of hot fluid injection into a reservoir in a conjugated reservoir-well system is constructed and a solution to the boundary value problem is given. The heat loss in the wellbore and the temperature field of the injected fluid in the formation are determined. It is shown that the heat in the reservoir spreads over a small area. Numerical calculations have been performed for practical values ​​of the system parameters using the obtained analytical expressions.
