The seminar of “Creeping Theory” department “Modern problems of mechanics of deformable solids” was held. At this seminar research associate Mamedova Hijran Ali kizi gave a talk “On prediction of corrosive failure time of bodies under action of nonstationary concentration of diffusing substance”.

A corrosive failure defined as a process of the continuous accumulation of certain type damages. A failure begins if the corrosion damage achieves a certain level. The deformation of a body is assumed stationary. It was suggested the formula which at a known initial value of concentration of diffusing substances and characteristics of a «material—corrosive medium» system allows us to predict in certain degree an approximate value of corrosive failure time of arbitrary form bodies at the report.
