The paper of Azerbaijan scientists was published in higher impact factor international journal

The paper coauthored by deputy director of IMM in scientific affairs corr. member of ANAS, prof. Vagif Guliyev’s within the I Azerbaijan-Russia joint international grant competition was published.

The paper was published in 1.792 higher impact factor Q1 category journal “Analysis and Mathematical Physics” (https://link.springer.com/journal/13324)  reviewed in “Clarivate Analytics” international base.

In this paper “A characterization for fractional integral and its commutators in Orlicz and generalized Orlicz–Morrey spaces on spaces of homogeneous type” (https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s13324-019-00295-w) the authors investigate the boundedness of maximal operator and its commutators in generalized Orlicz–Morrey spaces on the spaces of homogeneous type. As an application of this boundedness, was given necessary and sufficient condition for the boundedness of fractional integral and its commutators in these spaces. Also discussed criteria for the boundedness of these operators in Orlicz spaces.

Discussed the annual activities of 4 institutes of the Division of Physical-Mathematical and Technical Sciences

On December 11, Institute of Physics of ANAS hosted for General meeting of the Division of Physical-Mathematical and Technical Sciences (DPMTS).

The event was attended by the vice-president of ANAS, academician Rasim Alguliyev, academician- secretary of the division, academician Nazim Mammadov, members of the bureau, heads of relevant scientific institutions, scientific secretaries and relevant employees.

Opening the meeting, academician Nazim Mammadov provided information on the agenda. He said that at today’s meeting the annual reports of the division’s Institutes of Physics, Radiation Problems and Biophysics, as well as Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory would be listened.

Later on, academician Javad Abdinov submitted an annual report of the Institute of Physics, corresponding member of ANAS Namig Jalilov – Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory, corresponding member of ANAS Ogtay Samadov – Institute of Radiation Problems, corresponding member of ANAS Oktay Gasimov – Institute of Biophysics.

Scientists informed about current research, published publications, articles, international cooperation, grant projects, patents and staff training at the enterprises they represent, and responded questions of participants.

Then the authors of important scientific results made presentations on their scientific achievements.

There was extensive discussion around the reports. Following the discussions, reports of the relevant institutions of the division have been accepted.

In conclusion, academician Fikret Aliyev submitted an annual report of the Research Institute of Applied Mathematics of Baku State University.
