Lankaran State University, Azerbaijan Oil and Industry University, Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko and ANAS Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics held an international conference in Lankaran.

Acting rector of the Lankaran State University Prof. Natig Ibragimov welcomed the participants and informed them on the issues on the agenda and the issues to be discussed at the opening of the International Conference “Problems of decision-making within uncertainty”. Naming the holding of the Conference at Lankaran State University as an important scientific event, Prof. Natig Ibrahimov said that mutual exchange of ideas would be beneficial for all the participants and would enable them to use the latest achievements of science. He highly appreciated the participation of foreign universities in the conference, as well and noted that the influential scientists from Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Turkey, Georgia and other countries have participated in this Confrence.

Professor O. Nakonechniy, Program Director of the Scientific Conference, Prof. M.Babanli, Rector of Azerbaijan Oil and Industry University, Anar Kazimov, Head of Science Sector of the Ministry of Education, Yusif Gasimov, prof. of University of Azerbaijan, wished successes to the conference participants. The speakers emphasized the importance of the knowledge gained in the field of mathematics in the country and world science.

After the opening ceremony, the conference was continued at plenary sessions.

It should be noted that the XXXI International Scientific Conference held in 3 languages – Azerbaijani, Russian and English – continued to July 8 at Lankaran State University. The closing ceremony of the conference will take place on July 9 at the Azerbaijan Oil and Industry University.
