Today, at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, the chairman of the scientific publishing council of ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Misir Mardanov has received the responsible secretaries of scientific journals published in the of the department of Physical, Mathematical and Technical Sciences.
Chairman of the Council Misir Mardanov announced the results of surveys of journals published in the institutes of the department.
M.Mardanov advised the department to publish magazines in English. He noted that for the print and online versions of the journal ISSN serial number should be taken separately in international standards. The ISNN serial number should be displayed both on the website and on the print version of the journal. Periodicity of the journal and declared periodicity should be strictly observed. Editorial staff should be in international composition. Information on the Editorial Board members should be posted on the journal’s website. Most members of the editorial staff should not belong to the same scientific or educational organization. All published material should be provided with a scientific opinion. It is recommended to attract at least two reviewers who are experts in this field and who are not interested in the author. The editorial decides whether to publish or not to publish the material based on those opinions. The rules for submitting papers to the reviewers, and the period for eliminating deficiencies should be indicated on the journal’s website. The editorial staff should pay special attention to the quality of the papers and invite experts working in different organizations and countries. Information on the journal’s own specialty, subject matter, periodicity, composition of the editorial board, rules for authors, legal aspects of the full or partial use of published material should be reflected on the website. The scientist also emphasized that the website should contain contact information and information about the legal address of the publishing house of the journal. The archive of the journal should be presented on the website and the new numbers of the magazine should be added to the archive on time. The archive can be divided into years, volumes, or numbers. For each paper, complete bibliographic information in English, including the title of the article, a list of authors and their place of work, an annotation of the paper content and a list of keywords are required. Each paper should have a complete list of references in Latin transcription.
