Huseynov Rauf Vali was born on June 12, 1940 in Goychay, Azerbaijan Republic. In 1964 he graduated from the Mechanics and Mathematics faculty of the Azerbaijan State University (Baku State University).
In 1964-1967, he was a post-graduate student at the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, and in 1991-1994 he was a Ph.D., and in 1973 he defended his dissertation under the supervision of Professor of the Moscow State University, G.E. Shilov.
In 1972-1979 he worked as a teacher, senior teacher, deputy dean of the Ganja Pedagogical Institute named after Hasanbey Zardabi. In 1979-1990 he worked as a teacher, assistant professor, head of the department of “Higher mathematics” in the Ganja branch of the Polytechnic Institute named after Chingiz Yildirim.
In 1990-2002 R.V. Huseynov worked as a senior scientific worker, leading scientific worker of ANAS Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, head of the department of “Functional analysis”, senior scientific worker.
Professor of Hocatepe University in Afyon, Turkey, in 2002-2005, as a professor at the National Aviation Academy in 2006.
In 2007-2019 he worked at the Department of Mathematical Physics Equations of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS.
R.V. Huseynov was a Deputy Chairman a member of the Board of the D 01.111 Dissertation Council at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS.
R.V. Huseynov is the follower of the world-renowned Moscow Mathematics School in the field of functional analysis. R.V. Huseynov was the author of several significant results in the field of integral and measurement theory, in the field of partial differential equations.
Significant results have been obtained on Fourier transforms of the functions assigned in Qauss measure linear spaces and properties of these transformations have been studied. This transformation was applied to the solution of the variational derivative differential equations in quantum physics. This formation, included to any of the Qauss dimension linear topological spaces by R.V. Huseynov, is a generalization of Fourier -Viner transform of Viner dimensional functional spaces previously introduced by Cameron and Martin.
The results obtained by him were reflected in the monographs of academicians: Y.S. Samoylenko, Y.M. Berzansky and professors: Kondratyev, Y.L. Daletskiy and S.B. Fomin.
In the field of partial equations, R.V.Huseynov has studied systematically (deep) boundary value problems for quasielliptic equations. This problem was noted in J. L. Lions and E. Majenes famous inhomogeneous boundary value problems and Their Applications monograph and its importance was highlighted.
For systematic study of Quasielliptic boundary value problems, Anzotropic Sobolev spaces have been developed by R.V. Huseynov in the Hardi type and Puankare type inequalities theory, which has helped to solve large-scale quasielliptic problems.
The above monograph shows the results of numerous authors from Russia, Italy, Scandinavia and Japan. At the same time, for the quasielliptic equations, there is a clear and systematic study of boundary value problems. The results obtained by R.V. Huseynov allowed to fill this gap.
R.V. Huseynov is the author of 51 scientific works. He has prepared 2 doctors of sciences and 1 PhD.
Rauf Huseynov was a scientist with a strong memory, a high intelligence, capable of accurately analyzing different fields of science (physics, history, philosophy, philology, art, etc.). Given his professionalism in other fields of science, he also worked as an expert on the Philology specialty of the HAC under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The collective of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS expresses its sorrow over the death of RAUF VELI OGLU HUSEYNOV, Corresponding Member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, Professor, recipient of a merit pension of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, expresses condolences to his family and relatives.
REST IN PEACE!
