A scientific council meeting was held at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS. The meeting was opened by the director of the institute, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Misir Mardanov. He informed the members of the board that memorable signs were established on behalf of the scholars, who were indispensable for the development of Azerbaijani science.
At the meeting, the issue of organizing the dissertation defense of the 2nd year masters of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics was discussed. The composition of the specialized defense council on specialties “Mathematical analysis”, “Differential equations”, “Optimization and optimal control”, “Mathematical physics” has been confirmed. It should be noted that the chairman of the specialized defense council, is prof. Telman Melikov, Deputy Chairman of the Board, prof. Adalat Akhundov, the members, the Corresponding Member of ANAS, prof. Vagif Guliyev, corresponding member of ANAS, prof. Bilal Bilalov, doctor of science, prof. Akbar Aliyev, doctor of science, prof. Mammad Bayramoglu, doctor of science, prof. Hamlet Guliyev, doctor of science, prof. Rafig Tagiyev, Ph.D., Associate Professor Abdurrahim Guliyev and Ph.D., ass.prof. Shirmayil Bagirov.
In the attestation, on philosophy doctor training 7 (full time) persons in doctoral studies, 13 persons on philosophy doctor in dissertation courses, and 9 persons on doctor of sciences training in dissertation courses, have participated.
At the end, M. Mardanov gave his recommendations on strengthening the scientific activity of doctoral students and candidates for a degree.
