On July 2 the regular meeting of the scientific Council of IMM of NASA was held. In the meeting the agenda was discussed and the collaborators of the Institute were awarded. The meeting was opened by the Director of IMM, doctor of phys. math. sci. professor Misir Mardanov. He congratulated the professors of the institute Bilal Bilalov, Vagif Guliyev and Geylani Panahov on the occasion of their election as corresponding memebers of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.

He remarked that the research associates of the institute have published 33 papers in the journals listed in “Thomson Reuters” agency. The authors of these papers were awarded with pecuniary prizes.

Prof. Misir Mardanov congratulated the young scientists of the institute the Philosophy doctor in mathematics Sadigova Sabina and scientific secretary of the Presidium of NASA, philosophy doctor in mathematics Muradov Togrul as the winners of the grant competition held by the Presidium of NASA for young scientists on the occasion of May 28, the Day of Republic.

The senior research associate of “Functional Analysis” department, cand. of phys. math. sci. Elshad Hamidov was conferred the scientific title docent by the results of voting.

Recently prof. Sabir Mirzoyev has participated at the International Conference “Spectral theory and differential equations” dedicated to the centenary of prof. Boris Levitan. Sabir Mirzoyev gave a detailed information about this Conference.

At the end, the participants were acquainted with the semi-annual account of the departments on scientific and scientific-organizational activity for 2014.
