On 12.10.2017, at 10.30, the regular seminar of “Optimal Control” department will be held. At the seminar Leading scientist of The Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, Dr., Assoc. Prof. Anar Rahimov will give a talk on “An approach to numerical solution to inverse source problems for a parabolic equation”.
In the talk the inverse problems will be considered for a parabolic equation with an unknown source (space or time dependent) on the right-hand side. In particular, these classes of problems arise in the study of boundary value problems with nonlocal (integral) conditions. A numerical method will be proposed to solve the problems, which is based on the use of the method of lines. The initial problems will be reduced to a system of ordinary differential equations with unknown parameters. To determine unknown parameters the analogue of a sweep method will be proposed. We will present the results of numerical experiments on test problems.
